With exactly one week to go before the September 9 event, more speculations come as to what Apple has in store for everyone.
According to AppleInsider, Gene Munster, an analyst for Piper Jaffray, is predicting (more like guessing) an upgrade to the Apple TV, noting the wait time for the Apple TV on the Apple Store has been increased to one to two weeks. He surmises that the 40GB model is on its way out and a price cut for the 160 GB should be expected.
Another speculation involves the release of an update to iPhone OS 3.0. MacDailyNews (via 9 to 5 Mac) reported that AT&T may have hinted the release of iPhone OS 3.1 next week which will allow file transfers via Bluetooth and give US iPhone users MMS capability.
After the 3G iPod touch, next on my wish list for the September 9 event is an update to iTunes that will bring better iPhone/iPod touch apps management. The Applications pane in iTunes 8.2.1 stutters and freezes if I try to browse through all of my 100+ apps really quickly.
