Mark your calendars for April 8th.

Apple has sent out an invitation to various media outlets for an event on April 8, 2010, 10 a.m. Pacific at the company’s Cupertino campus.

The invitation shows the shadow of the number “4″ with the words “Get a sneak peek into the future of the iPhone OS”.

One of the rumored new feature is multi-tasking support for third-party applications on the iPhone, and perhaps for the iPad as well?
