Belkin’s Headphone Adapter for iPod Shuffle

Belkin announced the availability of the Headphone Adapter for the third generation iPod Shuffle.

The adapter lets you control the 3rd gen shuffle and use headphones other than Apple’s.
I was hoping that it would work with the iPod touch or iPhone but the website doesn’t say so.
