Apple just released iPhoto 8.1.1 and addresses issues affecting face recognition performance and accuracy. It also fixes minor issues in the areas of book ordering, and incorrect displaying of the icon for iPod touch (2nd Generation).

iMovie 8.0.5 update released

iMovie 8.0.5 aims to improve compatibility with a number of devices and fixes other minor issues, including:

Improved compatibility with camcorders using the iFrame video format
Improved compatibility with importing video captured on the iPod nano
Fixed problems with resizing the iMovie window during playback

GarageBand 5.1 update released

Apple updated their consumer audio/music production application included in the iLife ‘09 suite. Garage 5.1 addresses general compatibility issues, improves overall stability, and fixes a number of other minor issues. The issues addressed include:

Aside from the new Macs last Tuesday, Apple also released a slew of updates for the Mac.
TUAW enumerates Tuesday’s updates:

Exporting HD movie from iMovie '09 (or 'There ought to be a simpler way to do this')

Apple’s iLife suite gives the consumer the ability to manage, create and distribute their photos, music, and video. With those in mind, you’d think exporting videos from iMovie ‘09 shouldn’t be this complicated.

The iLife ‘09 Hardware Up-to-Date Program lets you upgrade to iLife ‘09 for only $9.95 if you have purchased a qualifying computer on or after January 6, 2009, that does not include iLife ’09.”
