dead_pixels“With time your monitor might get an increased number of stuck, or often referred to as “dead”, pixels,” writes Richard Darell at Bits Rebels. “A dead pixel is usually caused by uneven distribution of liquid in the liquid crystal display or by a transistor malfunction.”

Darell has three ways of fixing a dead pixel, and suggests that you give them a try before going out to replace your LCD monitor. He cautions, though, that if not done properly more damage can be done to the LCD. Heh.

Check out the link. It might prove useful someday but I hope you’ll never encounter a dead pixel ever.
