According to the iPodObserver, cell phone carrier KT has struck a deal with Apple to carry the iPhone in South Korea. However, not enough information was given like when the iPhone will start selling in Korea or how much the plan would be. It would seem though that KT won’t be an exclusive carrier for the iPhone in South Korea as SK Telecom is said to be in talks with Apple as well.
In the meantime, Thailand’s True Move started accepting registration for the iPhone 3GS August 5th and date of release will be on August 28th. India customers unfortunately got confused with the slide shown during Phil Schiller’s Keynote during WWDC ’09. Some thought that the release date is August 9. What the slide actually said was “August ’09″ as in August 2009.
Like here in the Philippines, Malaysia is also experiencing a glut in iPhone 3GS supply. At least this one blogger managed to get hers three days after the official launch.
