iPhone OS 3.0
Apple released an update to the iPhone OS which aims to resolve the issue of iPhones not waking up from sleep, according to Macworld. Dubbed by some as the “coma mode”, the problem appeared when iPhone OS 3.1 was released about a month ago.

AppleInsider has listed the following fixes and improvements found in iPhone OS 3.1.2:

  • Resolves sporadic issue that may cause iPhone to not wake from sleep
  • Resolves intermittent issue that may interrupt cellular network services until restart
  • Fixes bug that could cause occasional crash during video streaming

The update weighs in between 200MB to 306MB and is available for the iPhone, iPhone 3G, and iPhone 3GS. An update was also released for the iPod touch.
