AppleInsider has posted some photos of the gutting of a 5G iPod nano by iFixit. According to iFixit, some of the notable changes from the previous iPod nano model (aside from the video camera, of course) are the easy to remove click wheel, the larger screen (same width but 56 pixels taller), and the approximately 1-mm thick speaker near the bottom.

The camera is a separate module instead of being integrated into the board and is only 3-mm thick. The iPhone’s camera, without the mounting, is 6-mm thick. The 5G iPod nano is only 6.2-mm at its thickest point.

On a different note, Apple has debut an ad for the 5G iPod nano entitled ”Capture us”, which touts the iPod nano’s new built-in video camera.
