
Electronista reported that new data from NetApplications have shown a drop of 0.15 per cent in Mac (all versions) web share for the month of November. In contrast, Windows 7 online traffic grew from 2.15 per cent in October to 4 per cent in November. Linux has taken back some of the traffic it lost in the previous months with a 1 per cent total market share.

When it comes to web browsers, Microsoft’s Internet Explorer continues to bleed as it loses 1.06 per cent of its market share in the month of November. When compared to November last year, Internet Explorer has lost almost 8% of its online market share. In the meantime, Firefox is inching towards getting a quarter of the total market share with this month’s 24.72 per cent. Apple’s Safari took a dip from 4.42 per cent to 4.36 per cent while Google’s Chrome browser has been on a steady uptake with a 0.35 per cent increase from October’s 3.58 per cent web share.
