A little more than a week after the release of Steam for Mac and offering Portal for free, Valve announced the availability of Half-Life 2 and its two expansion packs, Half-Life 2: Episode One and Half-Lfe 2: Episode Two, on their Steam gaming store.

As a special treat, Valve is offering 30% off the regular price for these games for a limited time. Half-Life 2 can now be purchased for only $6.99 while the two expansion packs can be purchased for only $5.59 each.

All three games support Steam Play which enables players to purchase a game once but play it on either a PC or a Mac that has Steam installed. The games also feature Steam Cloud, a service that lets players save a game in progress in one computer and then resume the game on a different computer.

Aside from the Half-Life 2 games, Valve also announced the availability of Eve Online: Tyrannis for download for both Mac and PC, the first time Valve launched a cross-platform title simultaneously.
