Apple has just released QuickTime version 7.6.4 for both Mac and Windows. The update adds support for iTunes 9, improves audio device support on Windows Vista and includes changes that increase reliability, improve compatibility and enhance security. This release is recommended for all QuickTime 7 users. The update also addresses several issues such as unexpected application termination or arbitrary code execution due to viewing a maliciously crafted H.264 movie, opening a maliciously crafted MPEG-4 video file, or viewing a maliciously crafted FlashPix file.
