VLC, my favorite third-party media player, has just been updated to include security fixes and the port to 64-bit. Other fixes include SSA decoding, v4l2, MacOS interface, ogg/theora, and x264 modules. The new version also adds two new languages (Kazakh and Croatian).
Mac OS X 10.4 users are warned that this release is NOT compatible with Tiger.
