I revisit Globe Telecom’s iPhone pricing scheme. Last I looked, the 8GB and 16GB iPhone 3G cost more than the newer 16GB and 32GB iPhone 3GS under G-Plan or G-Flex subscription plans. To their credit, Globe saw and rectified that error.

It’s July 31 and I just got back from SM Davao’s Globe Business Center and asked how will those who made reservations for the iPhone 3GS between July 15 to 30 know when to get their iPhones? A call… next week.
An email from Apple confirms that it’s all systems go for Globe’s July 31 release of the iPhone 3GS in the Philippines.
Earlier today, I mention in a post that someone from Globe screwed up when they updated their iPhone Prepaid Kit pricing. Well, looks like somebody caught the mistake and they did an edit. They made the necessary correction to the 8GB iPhone 3G-3GS confusion. That’s the good news.

Globe has updated their website for the iPhone 3GS Prepaid Kit but they could’ve done a better job.
According to this webpage, under the iPhone 3GS Prepaid Kit, the 8GB iPhone 3GS costs P37,599 and the 16GB iPhone 3GS costs P43,799.
Wow. Apple actually made an 8GB version of iPhone 3GS just for the Philippines.

According to KLue, a Maxis Communications Berhad press release has confirmed that the official launch date of iPhone 3GS in Malaysia will be on July 31.
